In the cement production process, alternative fuels are strategically introduced at various feeding points to optimize efficiency and promote sustainability. In the middle of the calciner, a mixture of shredded wood chips, low calorific sludge, and paper sludge is fed by gravity, with a ratio ranging from 5.45 to 8.5 tons per hour, aiming to control the overall fuel composition. The lower part of the calciner sees the introduction of a blend of fluff and SSc at a rate of 5.72-15 tons per hour, utilizing pneumatic dosing to precisely control the fuel mixture. Above the orifice, pet coke is pneumatically dosed with a feeding ratio of 0-3.6 tons per hour, primarily used for heating during the startup of the kiln line. Finally, in the kiln inlet chamber, car and truck tyres, dosed by gravity at 0.92-3 tons per hour, serve as secondary fuel, contributing to the company’s commitment to sustainable practices in the cement industry.
